Dr. Christi Gerhardt

Dr. Christina "Christi" Gerhardt is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist with more than two decades of experience caring for children and adolescents with growth, puberty, and hormone-related conditions. Throughout her career, she has been especially drawn to the thoughtful evaluation and long-term management of short stature, delayed puberty, and complex growth patterns, helping families navigate critical developmental windows with clarity and confidence.

Dr. Gerhardt earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Oregon Health and Science University. She went on to complete her pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado through the University of Colorado School of Medicine. During fellowship, she trained in a rigorous academic environment focused on precision endocrinology, longitudinal care, and evidence-based decision-making. Notably, Dr. Gerhardt and Dr. Toni Kim trained together at Children’s Hospital Colorado, forming a shared clinical foundation and philosophy early in their careers.

This formative training aligned Dr. Gerhardt with the mindset that LIFE Pediatric Endocrinology has become known for, treating the whole child rather than focusing solely on lab values or growth charts. Like Dr. Kim and Dr. Kelli Davis, Dr. Gerhardt believes that optimal outcomes come from individualized care, direct access, careful monitoring over time, and a deep respect for each child’s unique biology and family context.

While Dr. Gerhardt enjoys all aspects of pediatric endocrinology, her greatest passion lies in growth and puberty care. She is known for her ability to assess nuanced growth patterns, clearly explain complex endocrine concepts, and guide families through long-term strategies that prioritize both healthy development and overall well-being. Her clinical style blends precision with an integrative lens, emphasizing nutrition, lifestyle, and sustainable health outcomes.

Dr. Gerhardt will be serving families across the country through LIFE Pediatric Endocrinology, with a particular focus on caring for families in Texas, including those in Austin, Dallas, and surrounding communities. She works closely with the LIFE team to ensure families receive seamless, high-touch care regardless of location, while maintaining the same thoughtful, personalized approach that defines the practice.

Dr. Gerhardt values building meaningful relationships with families and developing care plans that are practical, personalized, and aligned with long-term goals. Families appreciate her calm presence, thorough evaluations, and confidence in navigating complex growth and puberty decisions.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gerhardt enjoys cooking, photography, and spending time outdoors. These interests reflect her belief in balance and whole-person health, values that naturally extend into her approach to patient care.
